Celebrate Aberdeen

Last Saturday Codify took part in the Celebrate Aberdeen parade by sponsoring Aberdeen Sports Village and Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Celebrate Aberdeen (www.celebrateaberdeen.org) is an annual parade which aims to highlight and promote the work of 3rd sector organisations in and around the Aberdeen area. Thousands of people take part, representing a diverse range of over 100 charities from animal charities to sports to community projects.

Codify were kindly invited by Marie Curie to join them in the parade which is an hour long walk down Union Street in Aberdeen’s city centre. The atmosphere was great with pipe bands, drummers and a number of people in fancy dress - including the Marie Curie team with our bright yellow top hats!

We met some lovely people who are dedicated to their work at Marie Curie and helping people with cancer and their families. It was an enjoyable morning and a great event that Codify hope to be a part of again next year.
