As a software company it's important for us to know what is going on in the world of technology. Following technology blogs is an excellent way to keep up. We thought that it was about time that we shared with you some of the posts that we've been reading lately.
Luke Fisher has been interested in computers from a young age and was determined to turn this passion into a career. Currently in his third year studying towards a BSC in Computer Science at Robert Gordon University (RGU), Luke started a year-long placement with Aberdeen based software specialist Codify earlier this year.
The best thing about my role is without a doubt the challenge and problem solving element. My work is so varied and you never know what kind of problems or queries a client will come forward with. It is incredibly satisfying when you are faced with an issue you haven't come across before and you find a way to locate the cause and fix it.
Software specialist Codify took guests back through the decades and gave a glimpse into the future during a special celebration to mark the firm's 15th anniversary.
Codify, founded in 2000 by Mark Griffiths, creates custom software solutions for a wide range of clients of different sizes across diverse industries in Scotland and Europe. Graeme Humphrey, managing director of Codify, believes the rapid growth in the sector is indicative of strong prospects and an opportunity for Aberdeen to put itself on the international technology map.
